2 – 1 yard cuts- 100% cotton- 2 highly contrasting fabrics (large prints work well)

one large print & one small print__or two florals

or theme fabrics or novelty prints or african prints

bsk, matching thread, sewing machine (with a new needle)

3 pre-wound bobbins, rotary cutter, 12 ½ “square ruler, iron

** OPTIONAL            ½ YARD OF A THIRD FABRIC FOR FRAMING / LEADING

PRE-WORKSHOP ASSIGNMENT

1        CUT OFF ALL SEVLAGES FROM TWO HIGHLY CONTRASTING FABRICS THEN

2       ROTARY CUT  TWO – 8” X 42” (WOF) STRIPS FROM EACH

3       AND CUT SEVEN 2” X 42” (WOF) STRIPS FROM EACH

4       SUB CUT FROM 8” X 42” STRIPS  SIX SQUARES - YOU HAVE TEN 8” SQUARES IN TOTAL
