The members of the 54-40 AAQG of VA will celebrate our Silver anniversary with a Retreat. We will celebrate at the Marriott Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and Waterfront Conference Center where each room has a harbor view. The hotel is located at 425 Water Street Portsmouth, VA 23704
The Non-refundable registration fee for the Retreat is $185.00. However for "early birds" who register prior to March 31, 2017 the fee is $165.00. Regular registration is open April 1, 2017 through August 31, 2017, for $185.00. Effective September 1, 2017, late registration is $200.00. The last date for All registration is January 31, 2018. Registrations cancelled for a refund will only be done if a Spouse, Child, or Parent is deceased. The Retreat committee must be notified in writing prior to January 15, 2018 of any cancellation. Cancellations will be accepted in Writing only and sent by U. S. Postal Service. You will be assessed a $35.00 administrative fee. There will be no refunds after February 15, 2018 unless the Retreat is cancelled.
Your registration fee includes a retreat pin, tote bag and a shirt, as well as a "make it-take it" workshop on opening day. Registration and hotel check in is 3pm Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Classes begin Thursday and continue through Saturday.
Your Retreat Fee (different from the registration fee) includes hotel lodging and parking for four nights, breakfast Thursday through Sunday, lunch Thursday and Friday,
and Banquet on Saturday evening. The price for 4 nights is $550.00 and 3 nights is $459.00 per person, two to a room. Single is $790 for 4 nights and $639.00 for 3 nights. You may pay monthly until paid in full from March 1, 2017 until January 15, 2018. Personal checks or Money orders only please!!
There will be a fabric exchange again. You will pick as many fat quarters as you bring. Please wrap each fat quarter separately as a gift and bring only the kind of fabric that you would like to receive. Bring your Ugly fabric for the auction.
We are also having a "block" party. You will be given fabric upon arrival and you are to make a 12 1/2" block finished pieced or appliqued using the fabric that you rec'd.
Class descriptions will be posted soon. Class fees are $65.00 for a full day class and $110.00 for a two day continuing class, and $40.00 for a half day class. More to come later. Mark your calendars
